Omens by Kelley Armstrong

5 Stars

I've read a number of Armstrong's others books from the 'Women of the Otherworld' series and really enjoy her books. Her writing is really easy to follow and always has great characters/plots. My only problem with this book was that there are other versions of the cover which are much nicer!

Anyway's, back to the book. The plot follows out main character, Olivia, who is investigating her parents case for which they were convicted as serial killers with the help of lawyer, Gabriel Walsh. Olivia is currently living in a small town called Cainsville where she seems to be seeing numerous omens to which only she can interpret. There are other parts to the story but I don't want to give too much away for fear of spoilers.

I really loved this book and luckily, is the first book in a series so I'm completely looking forward to the next book. Although the book is a hefty almost 500 pages long, it was so easy to get through the book. Armstrong always writes at a fast pace which I love. The characters were also great and there was still some mystery and otherworldly going on which keeps in line with how Armstrong usually writes. I still have so many questions for the next book and really cannot wait to get into it.

For those of you who have read Armstrong's others books will love this and those of you who are unsure on whether they will be as good as her other series's, this book is definitely worth a read. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes there thrillers and mysteries, maybe even fantasy readers.

Happy reading :)
